Where Art Lives and Starship Astrov

Participated in a reading of the play Where Art Lives by Michael Thomas Cain today with the Oberon Theatre Ensemble. The play tells the story of a family’s dissolution when the events of the past and hardships of the present become more than they can bear. I played Ruth, Art’s wife, both loving and bitter and unable to wait any longer for things to get better. The reading was directed by the very talented Dianna Martin.

It was a much lighter evening two weeks earlier when I read the role of Lieutenant Jenny “Sparky” Camillo in Duncan Pflaster’s Starship Astrov directed by Resonance Ensemble Artistic Director Eric Parness. A highly successful melding of Chekhov and Star Trek, the show brought a lot of laughs from the good-size crowd at the reading.
